27th Nov. Day 2 Celebrity Reflection (At Sea)

Hey guys not much to report today as we are at sea on our way to the Caymans. Weather today has been a mixture of sun and rain, so today was spent mostly diving out of the rain getting a few drinks and then rushing out to the sun deck to secure 6 sun loungers and then repeat. Most of today was spent avoiding the bad weather, the crazy thing was that it is still really hot but the rain made it impossible to stay out on deck, so when inside we decided to check out the excursions on up and coming port days, we eventually booked 2 trips one for when we are in Columbia and the other was for Aruba. With this done we decided to get ready for tonights formal evening early, so went back to the cabins. After we all got ready we decided to watch a show before diner and went down to the theatre to watch there tribute to Frankie Valli and the four seasons which was Ok I guess but its not my sort of thing but the others liked it. Tonight our meal was going to be in the speciality restaurant “Quisine” which is a very unique tapas style restaurant we have been to this place before and is one of our favourites so imagine how disappointed we were when we rocked up to see that despite the name not changing the entire meal format had changed, it was still a very unique experience but not the one we wanted as it was a fixed meal and the reason for this was that each serving was presented by a table projection on your plate and surrounding areas on the table. Its was very cleaver but we were not happy, so Lorna made our point and the manager asked if we would at least stay for the first course to see if we would like to stay after, so we watched the animations and ate the starter which for me was wonderful but we still wanted a choice of menu so asked if they could book us a table in one of the other restaurants which they did, so our meal tonight was a lovely steak in the Tuscan Grille. One funny thing happened as it had been mentioned that the whole reason the 6 of us are on this cruise was to help celebrate Lorna’s 50th Paul’s 60th and Sandra’s 70th 3 birthday cakes came out at the same time but we were so full we couldn’t even try them so they agreed to have them sent to our cabins which was a nice end to the meal.

Because we got delayed trying out the Quisine experience we ended up finishing too late to go to the silent disco which is a very strange and funny experience of listening to disco music on headphones and dancing on the dance floor. Maybe later in the week. Tomorrow we are in the Grand Cayman and hopefully some nice weather.
